Ravello Travel Guide

One of my favorite places to visit in Italy. Trust me, book a 4 day weekend in Ravello before heading to Capri or Positano. Home to iconic cliffside gardens, Ravello is a hidden gem tucked away in the Amalfi Coast, Italy. Its sprawling mountains and endless seaside views make this resort town truly special. For a getaway that is both peaceful and energizing, book the next flight to Ravello, Italy. With my guide of where to stay, what to do, and top restaurants, your trip will be utterly unforgettable.

Ambitionist Ravello Travel Guide

To Stay.

Palazzo Avino: Perched high on the cliffs, each room in Palazzo Avino features the most breath-snatching views and stunning scenery. This luxury hotel perfectly encapsulates the charm of Italy in each expertly executed detail.

Belmond Hotel Caruso: Brimming with romance, Belmond Hotel Caruso is the ultimate dreamy vacation spot. Surrounded by lush greenery and blue skies, this hilltop hotel does not skimp on the luxe details.

To Do.

Palazzo Avino Clubhouse: Affectionately dubbed “The Clubhouse by the Sea”, this cliffside getaway is perfect for a day of lounging. Just feet away from the sea, kick back and relax here all day long.

Villa Rufolo: Located in district rich with history, the grounds of Villa Rufolo are a sightseeing destination. With gardens that rival the Palace of Versailles and oceanside views at every turn, you’ll have fun leisurely strolling through the greenery.

Town Square: Find your way to the adorable Town Square and enjoy an Italian shopping spree. It’s also great for sipping on an Aperol Spritz while enjoying the day and doing some people watching.

Mamma Agata Cooking Class: Take some of the amazing Italian cusine home with you with a cooking class by Momma Agata. With cookbooks under her belt and a charming demeanor, you cannot miss this class.

To Eat.

Rossellini’s: Located in the Palazzo Avino Hotel, Rossellini’s serves up the mouthwatering Italian cuisine your dreams — I’m drooling just thinking about it.

Il Flauto di Pan: Extremely charming and poetic, Il Flauto di Pan embraces local ingredients and Amalfi Coast traditions. The food is made with love and the views will make you fall in love.

Trattoria da Cumpa’Cosimo: Come to this unassuming spot to get fed like an Italian Grandma would feed you. The food is delicious, the environment is welcoming, and the service is genuine and sweet.

Belvedere Ristorante: Found in the Belmond Hotel Caruso, step into the dining room of Belevedere for lunch and dinner and you know that you are in for something special. With a front-row seat to absolutely stunning views, you don’t even care what the food tastes like — but the food gives the sights a run for its money. Everything here is seriously so good.

Palazzo Avino: Whether you’re staying at the Palazzo Avino or not, you must stop by here for cocktails. With several dining options to choose from and each with their unique set of views, it’s hard to say no to a place like this.

Ristorante L’Antica Cartiera: Situated in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, Ristorante L’Antica Cartiera has an old-school vibe, of course, gorgeous seaside views. They even have gluten-free pasta here!

Mamma Agata: Known for her cooking classes, Mamma Agate also serves an intimate dinner. With only 6 tables be sure to talk to your concierge about how to reserve your spot.

Mimi Ristorante Pizzeria: Hidden away in a charming Bed and Breakfast, Mimi’s hits the spot for your pizza craving. The vibe is cute and inviting and the pizza is so so good.

Pro Tip.

Book a full boat day to travel from Ravello to your next hotel in Positano or Capri. You’ll be able to bring your bags on board and enjoy the day instead of spending the day traveling to your next destination via car/ferry.
