Capri Travel Guide

We escaped reality in Capri. Surrounded by beautiful blue skies and water, stunning views, amazing food.... Capri was truly blissful. Gabe and I are so grateful for this trip and the time we spent at this magical destination. Below I have compiled a list of where to eat, what to do and what to see....

To Eat.

Restaurant La Terrazza di Lucullo: You must go here for lunch. The views and the pasta we're spectacular. This was one of my favorite meals in Capri. Don't go for dinner... just LUNCH (trust). Get the pesto pasta!!! Also, sit by the pool and order the strawberries with whip cream!

Ristorante Aurora: Very lively and crowded restaurant during the busy time. Food is great.

Da Georgio: Classic Italian restaurant with amazing views. The food here was incredible.

Panorama: One of our favorite meals. We actually missed our dinner reservation one night (because we were so tired from boat day) and went the following day for lunch. The Pizza, Eggplant, Shrimp and Pasta… we’re all incredible. They have their own garden which they so many of their ingredients from. The service was absolutely incredible.

Villa Verde: Fun vibes, amazing food. You’ll likely run into a celebrity.

Il Riccio: Went here lunch and it was incredible. Surrounded by blue seas and an incredible Mediterranean atmosphere.  If the water is not too rough, you can even go for a dip before or after lunch. There is also a dessert room. This restaurant is a MUST.

Ristorante Terrazza Brunella: One of our favorites. Great classic Italian dishes and amazing views.

JKitchen at JK Palace

Da Paolino: Famous lemon tree restaurant. We haven’t ate here, but have heard amazing things.

To Stay.

Caesar Augustus: We stayed here and absolutely loved it.  Two centuries ago it was a private home, a retreat for artists and intellectuals. Today it's a luxury hotel, loved by travelers from all four corners of the world. Breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. We felt we enjoyed a little slice of heaven as we lounged at the double level infinity pool facing the sea. This hotel is in Anacapri. Before heading to Capri, our friends were saying that staying in Anacapri wasn't the best option... but honestly, we LOVED it. It was only a 10 minute drive into town. We spent every night in the town of Capri, so being in Anacapri didn't bother us at all! It also felt more removed and relaxing. After now staying in Capri, I would 100% stay in Anacapri over and over again.

Hotel Punta Tragara: Truly stunning cliff-side escape in Capri with spectacular sea views. Our friends stay here every summer. Two years before deciding to stay at this property, we went to the hotel for a drink and it was gorgeous. We then decided when we came back to Capri, we were going to stay at Punta Tragara— and we did! Our room was incredible with the most breathtaking views. The room service food was basically like ordering in from a 5 star restaurant… I’ve never experienced that before! While I truly loved my stay at Punta Tragara, it is a bit of a hike from town. It takes 10 minutes to get into town and then another 5-10 minutes to walk to the taxi. If you’re looking to stay in Capri for just 3-4 days and plan to go to Fontelina at least half of your time in Capri… then Punta Tragara is the perfect option for you. Punta Tragara is just a 10-20 minute hike to the beautiful Fontelina. The views on this “hike” are absolutely breathtaking. Going down the mountain is easy, it’s coming up that will leave you out of breath! I loved it… felt like I didn’t have to work out.

Tiberio Palace:  Another great option in Capri that came highly recommended by friends. It is more central in the heart of the town. Outside of Tiberio could get a bit touristy during the day as it’s in the middle of town. Great option though!

JK Place: A sophisticated hotel with sumptuous interiors, a gorgeous swimming pool terrace, relaxed wellness spa, magnificent sea views, and one of the island's most celebrated restaurants in the form of JKitchen. This hotel is removed from Anacapri and from the town of Capri.

Capri Palace: Nestled in a secluded corner of the island with panoramic views of the sea, the resort features 68 immaculately designed guestrooms, a pair of Michelin-starred restaurants offering exquisite cuisine and the exclusive Capri Beauty Farm by Mytha Spa, a world-class medical spa facility.

To DO.

Fontenlina Capri: Beach club and restaurant. Relax in the sun opposite the Faraglioni, take a dip in the bluest of waters, lunch on the freshest of fish... at Capri's Fontelina. Do not miss this experience! Have your hotel concierge make you a reservation (or maybe even more than one) beforehand! Request a spot near the water.

Da Luigi ai Faraglioni: Beach Club and Restaurant. If you’re going to Fontelina, you don’t really need to go here. But, if you can’t get into Fontelina… book here!

Lido del Faro: Beach club near the lighthouse. We didn’t end up going to this beach club, but I still have FOMO. Go!

Boat Tour: Don't miss out on booking a boat tour the island to see the grottos,  Faraglioni, the Natural Arch and more. We had the most incredible time with the owner of the Lemon Tree restaurant. He told us all about the history of the island. We enjoyed some magical swimming and tasty food.

Taverna Anema e Core: Such a fun night time experience!!! This isn’t your typical “night club”. Meaning, you can absolutely go with your entire family. They also don’t play music via a DJ. It is all fun signing and the staff in encouraging everyone to dance/sing along!
